impacto de fontes tropicais an{\^o}malas de calor no contexto de

functions of the atmospheric general circulation model (AGCM) used
in the Center for Weather Forecasting and Climate Research (CPTEC)
from National Institute for Space Research (INPE). The influence
functions or Green's functions have been used to investigate
anomalous tropical heat sources effects in a barotropic atmosphere
but in a more realistic baroclinic atmosphere this kind of
analysis has not been investigated. In this way, the influence
functions are calculated from numerical simulations of the
AGCM-CPTEC/INPE dynamical core allowing to compare with the
influence functions of different barotropic models and to analyse
temporal and spatial variations considering different atmospheric
vertical levels. The results of this study show that the influence
functions of the AGCM-CPTEC/INPE are comparable to the influence
functions of the barotropic models but there are some differences
depending on the target point location and the climatological
basic state that the influence functions are calculated. The
influence functions of the AGCM-CPTEC/INPE show the tropical heat
sources locations that produce anomalies on the tridimensional
atmospheric circulation, contributing to increase the knowledge
about anomalous tropical heat sources effects in a stratified
atmosphere. Sensitivity experiments considering topography effects
and vertical variations of the tropical heating profile show
differences in the spatial and temporal influence functions
behavior. Therefore, this research is important to extended
weather prediction and to diagnostic studies that analyse
anomalous tropical heat sources effects in a baroclinic
atmosphere.",
